KIBBLE FOR CATS

Schesir offers two lines of dry cat food: the new Born Carnivore oven-baked kibble, a technique that preserves vitamins and minerals, and the classic Original range. The former includes recipes designed for true carnivores with fresh meat as the main ingredient and very few carbohydrates, making it a complete product with a high protein content. The Original range includes several recipes based on a single protein source of animal origin with the addition of vitamins, minerals and a blend of aromatic plant extracts. All recipes are based on natural ingredients and free of colourings or preservatives.

High protein ≥43% and low carbohydrate ≤12% content

Baking

Oven baking is a gentle technique that makes the dry food particularly appetising and allows the vitamins and minerals in the ingredients to remain intact. It is less aggressive than extrusion, which can diminish the nutritional value.

+ Animal Protein

All Born Carnivore recipes are made with fresh meat as the main ingredient, containing a higher percentage than extruded products on the market. Fresh meat is more nutritionally complete and easier to digest than highly processed meals of animal origin. A diet rich in high-quality protein is suited to cats’ energy needs, supports muscle mass and promotes the correct functioning of the feline metabolism.

- Carbohydrates

The new recipes are very low in carbohydrates: less than 12%. This is an impossible level for an extruded product to achieve. It is important for cats to have low carbohydrate intake because they are obligate carnivores, their physiology is optimised to obtain energy and nutrients mainly from animal proteins and fats.

Cats love kibble, but to meet their nutritional needs correctly, dry food must always be combined with wet food. Wet food offers a higher intake of high-quality animal protein and the extra fluids they need as they do not naturally drink a lot.

MIX FEEDING CLASSIC

The combination of dry food supplemented by wet food offers lower carbohydrate content and higher protein and moisture content. However, supplementary wet food must be given with care as it is low in vitamins.
