The best choice for a dog’s well-being
Our Schesir Natural Selection recipes are a testament to our deep respect for and careful consideration of nature, which led us to select natural ingredients with specific functions, in the form of dry extracts, in order to obtain the correct concentration of substances that maintain the well-being of our dogs.
Complete and perfectly balanced, all our nutritional formulations are approved by the Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences at the Alma Master Studiorum University of Bologna
SPECIFIC INGREDIENT: APPLE FOR DIGESTION

Apple fibre is an excellent natural source of soluble fibre. During the digestive process, it is used by the bacterial flora, which turns it into molecules beneficial to the health and correct function of the intestinal tract.
SUITABLE FOR ALL AGES
Functional ingredients specific to size and age

ROYAL JELLY FOR NATURAL DEFENCES
The combination of dried royal jelly and nucleotides is extremely useful for puppies, as it stimulates the correct functioning of the immune system and improves its response.

YUCCA SCHIDIGERA FOR ODOUR CONTROL
Thanks to certain natural substances that are particularly rich in the dried extract, Yucca Schidigera helps control odour, very useful for small dogs who live in close contact with their human families.

DEVIL’S CLAW FOR JOINTS
This plant has been used for centuries in traditional South African medicine, and has recently been studied for use in pet foods. Rich in beneficial natural substances, dry extract of Devil’s claw supports the physiological functionality of joints.

ANIMAL PROTEIN AS THE MAIN INGREDIENT
Different types of protein, different potential sources of intolerance. Every protein source can potentially become an allergen or give rise to intolerances, especially if used for long periods in animals with a predisposition to allergies.
SINGLE WHOLE ANIMAL PROTEIN RECIPES are designed so you can feed your pets a selected protein source and therefore reduce this type of risk.

NO-GRAIN FORMULA
Glycemic peaks are directly linked to a food’s glycemic index, which determines how quickly carbohydrates are digested and enter the bloodstream. The intake of foods with a high glycemic index is often associated with the risk of becoming overweight.
NO-GRAIN RECIPES are formulated without cereals, replacing them with other vegetables such as legumes which, having a lower starch content than cereals, produce a more limited glycemic response.
FOR PUPPIES: NO-GRAIN AND GLUTEN-FREE
Compared to adult dogs, puppies need food with a much higher energy and protein content in order to cope with the demands of growth. They also need more generous portions for the same body weight, which is why their food should be as digestible as possible.
SCHESIR NATURAL SELECTION RECIPES are No Grain or Gluten-free, high in protein and energy but low in cereals (no gluten) or without cereals (no grain). This is because puppies, unlike adults, digest and assimilate proteins and fats more efficiently, while being slower to digest starches.

RICE AND BROWN RICE
Cereals have always been considered an ingredient that does not meet the nutritional requirements of pets, to the extent that they are commonly associated with low-quality products. However, some cereals play an important role in the production of dry foods that are crunchy and perfectly digestible.
For its NATURAL SELECTION line, Schesir uses rice, considered the prince of cereals for its nutritional characteristics (it is gluten-free and its starch is the most digestible) and versatility (it can be used in both refined and wholegrain form, adding fibre and contributing to correct intestinal function).
